Welcome to International Montessori Academy & International School House!

International Montessori Academy and International School House is a private school community serving children from 15 months through Fifth Grade across four campuses in Bellevue and Seattle, Washington. Our world-class curriculum blends the best practices in modern education with proven methods for introducing world language, creating an environment that is both challenging and inspiring. Our small class sizes allow us to curate a personalized learning experience for each child with meaningful, hands-on exercises designed to promote independence, pique a child’s natural sense of curiosity, and engender success through investigation and experimentation. IMA offers its students a robust academic foundation with the warmth and support of a small school community—a place where ambitious learning goals can be met in an atmosphere filled with joy, spontaneity, and purpose.

An IMA education will give your child the tools to achieve academic success, the confidence to pursue a wide range of interests, and the knowledge and experience to become a good global citizen.

While my toddler was at first shy and apprehensive of school, this quickly changed after starting at IMA! My little one now runs into his classroom exuding joy because of the special bond that has been formed with his teachers. At the end of the day, I know my child’s basic needs and development are prioritized, which gives me peace of mind as a parent.

-IMA Parent

As an educator, there is nothing better than that 'ah-ha’ moment on a child’s face. At IMA, I have the opportunity to build lessons that show children how to think and solve problems instead of memorizing a study guide.

-IMA Teacher

We chose IMA to give our child the best of both worlds - a strong academic foundation and the language skills to succeed anywhere in the world she chooses to go.

-IMA Parent

Academics are important to us, but we found so much more than that at IMA. We wanted a caring, nurturing environment for our son, with teachers who took the time to get to know him. We found it here. IMA feels like home.
